Blue Archive welcomes two new students and a brand new crafting system in its latest event

Nexon has announced the latest event story for its mobile RPG Blue Archive. Entitled The Clumsy Sister and the Magician of the Old Library, the story will bring two new characters, as well as a new crafting system and a login event to celebrate.

The very wordy Clumsy Sister and the Magician of the Old Library tells the story of new characters Hinata and Ui, who are travelling in hopes of finding a way to restore some damaged holy scriptures that were discovered in the Trinity Ruins. Both of these characters come loaded with some unique abilities that sound quite enticing for teams. Kozeki Ui is the head of the Library Committee and packs a sniper rifle that can deal explosion damage. A support-type character more at home in the back lines, Ui has the convenient EX skill ability which allows her to decrease the skill cost of an ally as well as increase their attacks, setting them up to pump out a lot of damage at the optimal time.

Wakaba Hinata on the other hand is more of an offensive type of character. As a member of the Sisterhood Hinata is a mystic type striker, who can use their EX skill to deal damage proportionate to her strength to enemies with 5 round-shaped areas. Starting as a huge 250% of ATK, Hinata is a force to be reckoned with, especially if buffed up by Ui. They make a pretty effective pair, and with Nexon gifting 10 recruitment tickets to any player that logs in before October 11th, they are definitely worth investing in immediately.

In addition to these characters, a new crafting system called Material Fusion allows players to select a recipe and craft three items at once. To get started with this everyone will be gifted a set of three superior fusion keystones and six advanced fusion key stones.
