Blue Archive releases bumper update including new event story and a new student

NEXON Korea Corp has announced the latest update for its mobile RPG Blue Archive. This latest drop brings new event stories, a new student, and the recruitment ticket login bonus return.

Players will be able to play alongside the moustachioed leader of the Red Winter Office, Renkawa Cherino, in the event story A Revolutionary Ivan Kupala. In a sudden twist of fate, Cherino has lost their position as president due to an unexpected coup d’etat, and journeys to regain her authority. In addition, Cherinos Red Winter Comrade Amami Nodoka will be able to be recruited by completing the Ivan Kupala Festival Street mission of the event story. Along with the new event story, a new student has been added for recruitment. Ikekura Marina is also a member of the Red Winter Office, who wields a submarine gun and functions as a Piercing-type Striker. Her main EX skill allows her to dish out devastating damage, deal damage proportional to her ATK in an arc, and deplete the opponent's recovery boost.

As a Light Armor student, Marina would be at risk of suffering major damage, however, her stubborn drive to stand her ground results in some truly superb skills. She can gain the ability to become invincible when her HP drops below 20% once a battle and the likelihood of her reaching that threshold is lowered with her two extra skills granting her increased evasion. An enticing prospect indeed, and with all players getting 10-Recruitment Tickets if they log in before October 25th, she may be in teams sooner than expected.

New Joint Firing Drills have been added, which allow players to take part in a Firing Drill, Defence Drill and Breakthrough Drill to hone their skills over four stages. Joint Firing Drill Coins are awarded upon completion of the missions, which can be traded for special items such as the Secret Tch Notes and Superior Fusion Keystones.
