Blossom Blast Saga guide - How to get the biggest combos and the highest scores

From King, the makers of Candy Crush Saga, comes Blossom Blast Saga,a match three game that requires a surprising amount of strategy.

To help you get started, here are some simple tips and tricks to ensure you achieve some great combos.

Game Modes

Pay attention to the objectives given to you at the start of each level. Some might require you to achieve a certain high score by any means necessary while others might have you focus on clearing specific flowers.

Another type has you needing to clear a sufficient number of plant pots.

Planning

There’s no time limit so plan your moves carefully. If you want, you can spend a while working out what options you have before pursuing any of them.

Try to have some spare moves left over after finishing your objective. Each left over move creates a blooming flower in its place, which leads to chain reactions, a ton of points, and, hopefully, three stars.

The last flower used in a chain dictates where all the blooming power goes. Plan for that, so your powerful flowers are in a useful place.

Aim for the middle of the board, as a blooming flower in the middle can spread rapidly, potentially clearing the whole board in one move.

Special tiles

Focus on getting rid of plant pots. They’re a waste of space and often stop you from getting to your objective.

Weeds require you to create links next to them, in order to destroy them while to clear glass, you have to link uncovered flowers with those within the glass.

Moles look cute, but they create holes, stopping you from using that space. This can be very problematic when you’re trying to set up chain reactions.
