Auto Battle Chess is an interesting hodgepodge of genres that aims to offer the ultimate auto chess experience. That's a pretty tall order, though with the game now out for Android, I suppose we don't have to wait to see if it lives up to its promise.

So, Auto Battle Chess is said to pull from no less than 8 genres: RPG, strategy, turn-based strategy, auto chess, idle RPG, CCG, MMO, and AFK. Goodness me.

The idea is that you'll command a team of distinct heroes while training them up, unlocking their advanced abilities, and earning new equipment to wear into battle. Some of the heroes on offer include brave knights, divine deities, elementals, elder dragons, and more. At launch, there are over 100 to add to your roster.

Interestingly, the game also seems to be more narrative-driven than your average auto chess game, offering a lore-rich campaign to work through that takes you on a quest through the many kingdoms and realms of the Crusaders.

The PvP portion lets you battle it out with other players in 3-minute bouts. These demand strategic thinking and, apparently, more than a bit of luck to win. PvE is more concerned with pitting you against legendary bosses and the like. You can also expect the usual assortment of daily, weekly, and epic quests to take on as you continue to collect improved hero cards, equipment, and other unlockables.

And the team already has plenty of plans for post-launch content, including ranked battles, a tournament mode, arena wars, clan raids, and more. The game's now out for Android, with an iOS version set to follow next month.
