Square Enix has been mixing up its approach to music lately, featuring the likes of Eminem and Royce Da 5'9" in a Final Fantasy XV launch trailer and incorporating a Florence and the Machine rendition of "Stand by Me" on the official soundtrack. Now they'll be including a Final Fantasy-fied version of Ariana Grande's hit "Touch it" in Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius, and the pop star herself will appear in the game as a brand new character, Dangerous Ariana.

A promo video by Square Enix shows what went into partnering with Ariana Grande to bring her new character and song to life. "Touch It" was totally remixed and given an orchestral backing track that fits with Final Fantasy's customary sweeping musical themes. Grande appears as a pixel sprite, donning her outfit from her recent "Dangerous Woman" album. More details on the collaboration will be revealed later this month.

In other Brave Exvius news, Square Enix revealed that the game surpassed nine-million downloads since the game launched in the west in June. Good old Square is rewarding fans with increased log-in bonuses to commemorate the event.
