It is a good time to be an Apple Arcade subscriber, with two games from smash-hit developers Young Horses landing on the platform soon. If you haven’t heard of them, you have certainly heard of the debt gem that well and truly put them on the map: Octodad.

Whilst you may have heard about Young Horses from their Free Range collection, which released some free side projects such as IndependANT and Snake Date, but no doubt the release of Octodad: Dadliest Catch in 2014, the endlessly entertaining, physics-defying adventure game.

As you read this, you can already step into the shoes of the titular Octodad and engage in some good old-fashioned lying to your family and deceiving the general populous as an octopus who is masquerading as a human. You will have to engage with your mundane everyday tasks using your unruly tentacles, which mostly will flail around wildly and alert people to the fact that you may not be who you say you are. There is even a 2 - 4 player mode with everyone controlling different limbs if you want to get nothing done, so grab it now on the Apple Arcade.

Following shortly after will be Young Horses' second big game; Bugsnax. Released in 2020, you will be taken on a journey to Snaktooth Island, home of the legendary half-bug half-snack creatures, the titular Bugsnaxs. By exploring the diverse biomes of Snaktooth, you will find and capture 100 different species of Bugsnax and be able to feed them a plethora of items to customize them with new looks. With your new friends, scour the island and locate your old friend, Elizabeth Megafig, who invited you to visit, but when you arrived you find the camp in shambles and your host missing.

Apple Arcade will cost you $4.99 a month, with Octodad available to play now, and Bugsnax coming this summer.
