'Tis the season for all things spooky. So much, so, in fact, that even apps are getting into the spirt of things, dressing up in costume and spreading jack o' lanterns all about the place. These updates bring frightening new character skins, scary new levels, haunting music, and other tricks and treats for you to discover. If you need a starting point, these four hugely popular apps are all celebrating Halloween in their own ways. Let's see what they've got planned.

Bridge
Constructor
This engineering sim might not seem scary at first glance until you test out a failed bridge and the cars driving across the bridge performing said testing fall to a gruesome demise. But there's also the new Bridge Constructor Halloween update, which gives players access to five new levels. Build bridges and then see if they can bear the Coach of the Dead's grim weight.

Monster Super League
Pokémon-like Monster Super League unleashed some temporary new Astromon fresh for the catching. Jack O’ Lantie, Jack O’ Little and Jack O’ Lyn will only appear in game until November 3, so you'll want to jump on that if you're aiming to be a true Astromon champion. If that's not enough for you, they'll be rolling out lots of other terrifying Astromon who will be permanent additions to the game, including Nosferatu, Nightmare, Van Helsing, Vampire, and Vampire Hunter on October 27.

Rodeo Stampede
Rodeo Stampede is a delightful endless runner in which you travel across different environments and lasso crazy safari animals. Things have gotten a bit crazier in honor of the Halloween season, as the entire game is now filled with creepy music, tombstones to hurdle over, and Halloween themed animals to capture.

Duolingo
Everyone's go-to language app is celebrating too, with new Halloween-themed Chatbots. Duolingo introduced Chatbots earlier this month to help people work on their conversation skills. Just in time for Halloween, you'll get to practice the language of your choice with the help of a friendly witch or a grumpy old man who's had enough of whippersnappers asking for more candy.

Halloween is always a time for good-hearted fun, and it's great to see how different games and apps are getting into the spirit of things. These apps all celebrate October 31 in fun creative ways, and you'll find many others out there doing the same. Trick or treat!
