There are hundreds of difficult levels to complete on your way, and you'll know exactly what to expect If you're a fan of match three puzzlers.

That being said, you'll discover a few unique features, like boosters which turn the tide in the hardest levels, and treats you unlock everytime you complete a level.

To discover more about the wonderful world of Jelly Blast!, we spoke to Cheetah Mobile about what sets it apart from other games in the genre, the challenges faced during development, and which features the company is most proud of.

What do you think Jelly Blast! offers that you can’t get from any other title on the App Store?

"Match three games have become so popular and widespread that it can be difficult to distinguish yours from others in the market. However, we believe we've achieved this with a number of key features in Jelly Blast!.

"There's dungeon-style gameplay, powerful dragon magic, and an incredibly lovely user Interface design - all of which have differentiated it from others in the market.

"We believe that every aspect of the game, be it the animation, items, or characters, are works of art."

What challenges did you face during development, and how did you overcome them?

"The toughest aspects of development were localisation and improving the retention rate.

"We first tried using global volunteers to handle the localisation, but soon realised it was not a wise choice. The translations they provided lacked in quality and took way too much time to complete.

"We ended up searching for paid translation service online, and finally found some decent options. Our goal was to keep high quality at scale."

"As for the user retention problem, we first tried to build a community on Facebook, and tracked user IDs to gather some feedback and analyse their behavior habits.

"We made adjustments to the difficulty of certain levels according to user feedback - as well as optimised items you can use in the game."

Which part of Jelly Blast! are you personally the most proud of and why?

"Personally, I love the visuals in Jelly Blast! - they're amazing. That's not to mention the cute characters and sweet jellies spread all over the game."

Do you have anything planned in terms of future updates for Jelly Blast! and, if so, can you give us any details of what these might include?

"We always plan ahead. In the future, we plan to give our players more opportunities to interact with other players. We're thinking of adding PVP or a competition."

Have you any plans to bring Jelly Blast! to any other mobile platforms like Windows Phone?

"Jelly Blast! is out right now on Android and iOS, but we will consider a Windows Phone version if the players want it."
