$100,000 up for grabs at World of Tanks Blitz Twister Cup 2019

The fourth annual Blitz Twister Cup will be held in Minsk (Belarus) on November 9th. For those not in the know, the Blitz Twister Cup is an eSports championship for the hugely popular World of Tanks Blitz.

Six of the best teams from around the globe will face off against one another in intense 7v7 tank battles to earn the title of the ultimate Blitz champs. The teams will fight in groups of 3 in a best-of-5 format. Winners from each group will then progress to the best-of-7 final match.

The prize pool this year is the championship’s largest yet, sitting at an impressive $100,000, with the top team taking home $50,000, the runners up nabbing a nice $20,000, and the teams which finish in second and third place in their groups getting $10,000 and $5,000, respectively.

Some of the teams taking part this year include regional Pro tournament winners 7STAR, END GAME, REIGN, ULTIMATE FEAST, and TEAM WOMBATS. RBmk-Energy, winner of the Wild Car tournament, will also compete in the event.

The Blitz Twister Cup has grown massively since its debut in 2016, increasing its prize pool from $15,000 to $100,000 in 2019. Previous tournaments have reached 2.4 million viewers globally.
