Maybe wait for some patches before playing Expelled!
inkle's latest murder mystery does not seem fully baked.

Inkle's latest release, Expelled!, is a sort of successor to murder mystery adventure game Overboard!. I've been spending quite a bit of time with it, and--much like the previous game--its premise is exciting. That said, I want to issue a warning against playing it as I've experienced nothing but confusion and frustration due to a high amount of bugs and/or broken logic.
I don't want to spoil anything about Expelled! as it is another mystery game where a lot of the fun comes from the suspense and thrill of discovery. That said, I can say that this game in its current form has repeatedly indicated that I don't have items that I can see in my inventory, tells me that certain people have items that I have in my possession, and sometimes allows me to act on information my character hasn't disovered yet. To add to this, Expelled! has a bug reporting form that doesn't label the fields for the form, which leads to aggravation when trying to tell the developers that something is wrong.
Expelled! is an intriguing game and I want to experience more of it, but I'm also souring on the game altogether because the game feels like it is falling apart at least half of the time I am playing it. If you have any interest in Expelled! and have not played it yet, I encourage you to wait unless you are interested in doing a lot of bug reporting and having a lackluster experience.
