Red Dead Redemption is coming to mobile thanks to the might of Netflix
Rockstar might as well...
I think it is safe to say that Rockstar could use a little bit of good press lately. Between GTA 6 getting delayed yet again and rumours of union busting, they haven’t been held in the most glowing terms. That is liable to change amongst the mobile public, however, as Red Dead Redemption is set to come to Netflix on December 4th.
Incidentally, December 4th is also when Power Wash Simulator and Cult of the Lamb are hitting Apple Arcade. Did somebody move Christmas? Or is it a National Cookie Day miracle, which is apparently a thing, and I will be taking full advantage now that I know it exists.
Putting that aside, you read correctly, our second favourite cowboy will be coming to mobile. Our first favourite is, of course, Bugs Bunny in the wild west cartoons. It may of released back in 2010, but Red Dead Redemption is still a masterpiece of storytelling. And the gameplay is none too shabby either.

In it, you take control of John Marston, a Cowboy at the tail end of the Wild West. His family gets kidnapped by law enforcement, cracking job they are doing, and he is forced to track down his former partners in crime. From there unravels a story of epic proportions, with horses, lassos, and revolvers aplenty.
Whilst you can enjoy the original story in all its luster, you can also get a little bit silly as the Undead Nightmare DLC will be included. As you might guess, it contains copious amounts of zombie cowboys. Rather iconically, it contains the Blunderbuss weapon, which uses the body parts of defeated zombies as ammunition. It is worth playing just for that alone, surely.
Red Dead Redemption will be on iOS and Android on December 4th, but it will require that you have an active Netflix subscription to play.
