Monster Hunter Now's latest event-exclusive set harnesses the power of the sun

The gates of the underworld have opened, and Cerberus has become derelict in its duty because all the heat has escaped to Earth. Yes, it is summer, and besides the melting people, it also means seasonal events! Monster Hunter Now is harnessing the boiling weather and has whipped up some Fire-imbued goodness.
Whilst the recent Driftsmelting event focused on status build-up, we are all in on Fire this time. Unfortunately for me, the whole set revolves around a Heavy Bowgun. I like melee. The Summer Blast is a pretty cool-looking bit of kit that has the Super Swinner skill.
To get the most out of this, you need to use the Swimmer Set, as the abilities scale based on how many pieces you wear. One reduces bowgun reload time, two reduces recoil, and three increases your ammo capacity. Each of these pieces also has its own skills, like a little symbiotic set.
The Goggles have Valor Lv 1, the Inflatable has Shared Sword Lv 2, and the Flippers come with Shared Shield Lv 2. What they all have in common, though, is the Sweltering Summer 2025 skill. Wear all three, and your fire-element attack goes up for 50, an effect which is increased tenfold during Summer Hunt 2025. You can also unlock an inflatable duck for your Waist Layered Equipment at the Event Exchange Hub.

To unlock all this goodness, you need to take on the Summer Hunt 2025: Seaside Vacation quests. These include hunting Barioth, Barroth, and more, granting you the Summer Hunt 2025 Weapon Ticket, Armor Ticket, and Armor Upgrade Ticket. To get the Weapon Upgrade Tickets you will need to slay the two aforementioned beasts, plus Arzuros and Berotodus.
If you do all this and complete the event set, you just might be in a position to take on Namielle in Elder Dragon Interceptions. They will start appearing on July 26th, and they really don’t like fire. This date also unlocks additional quests in the Summer Hunt 2025: Seaside Vacation Part II set. Complete these tasks for an Exchange Token, an exclusive hunter medal, and an exclusive Guild Card background.
Monster Hunter Now is available from the App Store and Google Play, and maybe you can discover just how a swimmer set can boost Fire. There’s a Water element!
