Monster Hunter Now reveals details of Season 6, including new weapon and Style Customisation

Monster Hunter Now Season 5 brought us a lot of fun times, such as the tricksy Chameleos Elder Dragon, but sadly, it is time to bid adieu. Fret not, though, as Season 6 is coming out of the gates swinging with a new weapon type, skills, and fresh ways to swing your weapons.
Fans of the standard Support Classes can soon celebrate as the Hunting Horn will release this season. When you attack, musical notes will start to accumulate. Order them correctly and you will trigger melody effects to increase your team's stats, impart Special Gauge acceleration, and even heal. Each weapon has its own effect, so start collecting early.
Everyone will appreciate the heals, especially with four new monsters debuting. Nargacuga, Beotodus, Bishaten, and Great Wroggi will be available to hunt soon. You will also run into Rifborne Monsters, those empowered by the rifts. There will only be a few beasts affected by this to begin with, before more get added down the line. These are Barroth, Tobi-Kadachi, Jyuratodus, Anjanath, Rathian, and Barioth.

Defeating this will yield materials needed for my favourite mechanic coming in season 6, Style Customization. Not only does this boost the stats of Grade 8 or higher weapons, but it will also imbue a different set of actions for each weapon type. You will have two to choose from per weapon, with alternative long-press actions and combos. To start, it will be limited to Long Swords, Light Bowguns, and Sword and Shield. My poor Dual Blades.
For even more firepower, four skills are being introduced. Buildup Boost lets you deal more damage if a status ailment buildup occurs when hitting a monster. Final Shot empowers the last ammo/phial when using a ranged weapon. Blunt Force increases the damage of the Hammer’s Charged Attack and the Hunting Horn’s Echo Attack. Finally, Paralysis Exploit increases damage to enemies affected by that status.
On top of all this, we are also getting Login Bonuses, the Season 6 Season Pass, and an Item Box Expansion to hoard even more drops than ever before. It is a good time to start Monster Hunter Now, available from the App Store and Google Play.
