Follow Redford (the cute orange blob-thing) as he reaches for the sky once again in Mega Jump Plus, the premium version of the smash-hit game that launched way back in 2010.

There's not a whole lot different about Mega Jump Plus, which is both a good and a bad thing. It’s bad in the sense that it doesn’t really bring anything significantly new to the table, but it’s good for basically the same reason. Fans will remember the addictive, fast-paced gameplay with fondness but will undoubtedly be disappointed at the lack of new features in this version. It's still a case of tilting left and right, collecting coins to sustain momentum, avoiding the odd bad guy, and making use of power-ups.

One of Mega Jump Plus’ best qualities is the fact that it’s divided up into stages. Rather than following the standard jumper formula of getting as far as possible and then trying to beat that score until boredom sets in, players will pass certain checkpoints and continue from their last one when they pick up and play next time. It’s a simple feature that adds a greater sense of achievement, as well as an incentive to come back for more.

In this anniversary edition all 4 worlds and their many stages are ready to download straight away, whereas the first version required them to be earned (albeit fairly easily). However, that's pretty much it for extra features. Besides the removal of those bothersome ads there's not much in the way of an incentive to stray from the original free version.

For anyone who missed out on this great casual game the first time round, now is the time to give it a whirl - especially for this price. For fans who have already exhausted the original however, there's literally no reason to download this iteration.

Mega Jump

The premium version of the iOS classic Mega Jump maintains the frantic fun of the original, but adds nothing significant enough to make it a worthwhile download for fans.
