It won't win any prizes for innovative looks or gameplay, but Legend of Talisman Pro is still a very solid and challenging match-three and physics-puzzler crossover.
There's a simplistic storyline setting the scene, but don't worry about that, it's not actually very important. What is important is conquering the many challenging stages within. Each level combines two aims. First of all, the player must drag two coins together so that they meet. Secondly, they must clear all the gems on the screen. The two objectives are interlinked in that there are some strict requirements when it comes to how things move. Neither gem nor coin can move upwards or through things. They can only move from left to right and across bridges made from the other item. This is pretty restrictive when one looks at the puzzles, ensuring quite a significant challenge.
Given the simple, casual nature of the game, this might come as a surprise to some, but Legend of Talisman Pro is genuinely quite tough at times. Further aid comes in later stages from special tiles that lift shapes around, teleport them or blow them up, but it's still quite challenging. Fortunately, solutions can be earned through the completion of a daily challenge, thereby allowing players to skip ahead. It's also possible to buy these solutions if the player so wishes.
The daily challenge consists of a more typical Match Three game, albeit one with a quite tight time limit. It's handy to have such resources for gaining a solution for free, saving the player from spending more than they want. And, believe me, the temptation to skip ahead will be there when some of the more challenging puzzles emerge.
Given the relatively slow paced nature of Legend of Talisman Pro, it won't appeal to all. It's one to sit back and take in a solution, rather than react quickly to anything. It is quite fun, though, and its dated appearance feels less important while enjoying the puzzles.
