Solve your way through new low-poly puzzler Krystopia, from Antler Interactive
So if I line this thing up with that thing, then put the talisman on the other thing…

The best escape-the-room games don’t just test your creative problem-solving skills – they look great, too. Released in October this year by Antler (the developer of the succesful VR puzzle SVRVIVE: The Deus Helix), Krystopia offers everything you could want in the genre, including loads of strange, complex puzzles to solve and an intriguing backstory.

When Nova Dune’s spaceship picks up a mysterious distress signal, her curiosity gets the better of her. She tracks it to a barren planet, where the only sign of civilisation is a massive stone gateway embedded in the cliffs. Beyond this gate, Nova discovers a series of doorways, one after the other, all locked.
That’s where your puzzle-cracking skills come in. Help Nova navigate through each of these rooms by deciphering the clues and unlocking the doors. The first puzzles are deceptively simple, serving as a sort of tutorial as you get to grips with the basics. In the chapters following, you’ll encounter more elaborate puzzles featuring everything from lasers to robots – but as the difficulty eases upward, so does your satisfaction in managing to unlock the next door.

Krystopia’s rooms look lovely thanks to pleasing low-poly graphics and a warm colour palette. There are plenty of little details to admire, as well as objects hidden throughout the levels that reveal more about the mystery around this alien civilisation and its seeming disappearance.
Take Nova on a journey deeper into this subterranean place and solve the mystery of the distress call; Krystopia is available now on iOS and Android.
