Hitman: World of Assassination is coming to Apple devices this year

The amount of console and PC games that have seamlessly popped over to iOS is frankly impressive, such as many Resident Evils, and my beloved Warframe. IO Interactive has clearly seen this and has finally said, “Hold my local Danish beverage”, because the outstanding Hitman World of Assassination is coming to iOS in Summer 2025.
If you don’t know World of Assassination, then stop reading this and go buy it now! It is the rebranded collection of Hitman 1, 2, and 3. The trilogy that started in 2016, when they gave up with fancy monikers like Absolution and Silent Assassin. Anyway, some smart cookie in IO thought, “These are three of the greatest games ever, let's just make them into one”, and thus a legend was born.
This announcement comes almost immediately after confirming that Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal is going free-to-play, something I covered over on AppSpy. I am determined to fawn over IO on every Steel Media platform I can. I just need to get something on Pocket Gamer to complete the trifecta!

I was not overly blown away by this year's Summer Game Fest, it has to be said, but IO definitely stole the show for me. We won’t go into everything, but between the James Bond cross-over mission for World of Assassination, and, of course, the iOS port, Hitman's 25th anniversary is being celebrated right.
Now, in terms of solid facts, we barely have any. The attendees at the Game Fest had a chance to play World of Assassination on iOS, so I feel it is safe to say the Summer 2025 release window is unlikely to be pushed back for any reason. But, beyond that, and the fact that it will be out of iPhones, iPads, and Macs, we are in the dark. What I do know for sure is that I have only one or two months to buy a better iPhone.
