Genshin Impact Version 5.7 brings us closer to the heavyweight bout between the Traveller and their sibling

The story of Genshin Impact has really picked up lately, with an almighty clash between the Traveller and their lost sibling surely coming soon. Version 5.7, A Space and Time for You, has brought us a step closer to this exciting bout, as the nation of Natlan is once again in peril. 

The latest Archon Quest continues to unfold, following the Traveller and their sibling. The Abyss Order marches on Natlan, placing Mavuika and her allies on alert. Dainsleif joins the Traveller on the front line against their sibling's machinations, uncovering some long-buried truths. 

To help in this war, you can recruit the long-awaited Skirk, the 5-star Cryo warrior. She has two combat styles; the first centred on Normal Attacks for sustained damage, and the second using her Elemental Burst for powerful AoE damage. If you have a team of Hydro and Cryo characters, Skirk will gain a massive DMG buff and add an extra level to everyone's Elemental Skills.

You can also pick up the 4-star Hydro support Dahlia. His Elemental Burst will bestow a renewable shield that can be reactivated with Normal Attacks or Freeze reactions. His talent boosts teammates’ ATK SPD, and his Elemental Skill can fire allies into the sky for exploration or deal Hydro DMG to foes. The update's first half will also see Shenhe return for summoning, with Mavuika and Emilie available in the second.

The Sumeru Akademiya has launched a new tactical team-building mode, seeing you select Companion Pieces to your lineup. You can power these up and send them down either the rainforest or desert route, each with its own challenges and story. If you prefer less tactical and more combat, head to the Stygian Onslaught mode, pitting you against three rotating bosses. You can earn Artifacts and the new Dust of Enlightenment item, which allows a re-roll for Level 20 Artifacts minor affixes’ enchantments.

For a more laid-back adventure, the Traveller’s Tales: Gilded Chapter will take you across the world to experience more mirthful stories. For some QoL updates, you can use Fragile Resin to claim three rewards from Ley Line Blossoms and common challenge Domains. You can also face new Envisaged Echoes Challenges for Raiden Shogun and Shenhe.
