Cute Things Dying Violently’s name tells you everything you need to know about its premise. A physics puzzle game, you’re trying to help cute Critters get to safety - away from spikes, buzz saws, fire, and so many other horrible things. It’s all a little bit like Angry Birds and it’s all pretty tough.

Some of that difficulty stems from its control method, unfortunately. You drag the Critters around with one finger, with a double tap then allowing you to set up the trajectory for flinging them. It’s not as intuitive as one would like, leaving you to often perform one action when you’re aiming to do the other.

Fortunately, there’s usually time to make up for such errors but it’s something to bear in mind. Throughout the many levels, you’ll be up against typical perils and the last thing you want is to be infuriated by such controls.

Mostly though, Cute Things Dying Violently is pretty entertaining in a cute yet evil kind of way. With some fun flashes of imagination, it should entice you.
