How to get 100% in every Caterzillar level

Don't be fooled by Caterzillar's childish design - it's actually a fairly difficult game thanks to its gravity-bending level design. And it's even more so if you plan on going after all of the game's collectibles.

Recover quickly

To get 100% in a Caterzillar level, you need to collect all three stars and 100 fruit in a level. This becomes a little trickier when you consider that you lose fruit upon taking damage, so reacting as quickly as possible to gather it all back up again is key.

Mind your surroundings

It sounds pretty obvious, but you should remain aware of what's going on around you at all times (particularly overhead) as that's the key between acing a level and dying faster than you can say, well, Caterzillar.

Also, be aware that your caterpillar hero sticks to whatever he lands on so be extra careful when trying to jump onto an enemy that you don't get accidentally stuck to a different landmass and get yourself in trouble.

Use your map

The map is your best friend in Caterzillar, as it reveals exactly where the stars and exit are. So try to glance back as much as possible to ensure you're on the right track.

Patience is key

Caterzillar seems designed to punish impatient players, as the majority of the puzzles require a cautious approach rather than the use of reflexes.

It's important that you get in the habit of taking your time, as you can only take damage up to three times before being booted out of a level. There are checkpoints though, but they only work if you fall off a cliff.
