Call of Duty: Mobile takes us on a Zoo outting for Season 5

While Call of Duty Warzone may have been taken out the back and unceremoniously executed, it is good to see that the original Call of Duty: Mobile is still giving us that iconic shooting fun. Speaking of which, Season 5, Primal Reckoning, is launching today, and is taking us to that most appropriate of shootout locations: the zoo.

First appearing in Call of Duty: Black Ops, you can now return to this mid-sized map in all its glory. Unfortunately, the zoo in question is abandoned, so we won't be making any fluffy friends. Instead, we must amuse ourselves by rampaging through the gift shop, animal pens, and having intense battles atop the monorail track. 

Fans of JRPGs will have a huge reason to gear up this season with the NieR: Automata event. You will head an elite YorHa Unit on a counteroffensive against the Machine Lifeforms. Doing this will earn action points that you will spend to advance through a branching path. Succeed, and you can unlock the likes of Kui Ji - YoRHa No. 9 Type S operator, and themed melee weapons.

For those who want to dive into Battle Royale, Buy Machines will appear on the Isolated Map, allowing you to get an edge on the competition. You can purchase weapons, Perks, and even Scorestreaks. Even with the demise of Warzone, we can still get our fix here, thankfully.

However you play, you can also start to attack the new Battle Pass. The free tier will net you the VMP SMG with its high rate of fire, big magazine capacity, and a surprisingly controllable amount of recoil. You will also get a reskin for the Combat Axe amongst other cosmetics, Weapon Blueprints, Vault Coins, and others. 

Heading to the Event tab will give you a fresh list of Missions to advance through the Season 5 Challenge Pass. You can use these tokens to purchase a Smoke Grenade reskin, Bathysphere - Killer Whale operator skin, camo crates, and a huge host of Secret Caches. These will yield the legendary AK-47 - ICB Rifle. Finally, the new Universal Shards feature will let you bank some currency for the next Mythic if you already have the currency Mythic AK117.
