Alice’s Fabulous Fall To Wonderland Review

First off, I know the title is long, but I love it. It tells a gamer right away that it's an Alice in Wonderland themed game, that it probably has to do with falling (which means that it will have accelerometer controls), and uses the word fabulous in a Frank Sinatra sort of way and not in a "your wardrobe is fabulous" sense. Kudos to Spogg AB on that one.

As for the game itself, Alice's Fall (which is what I'm going to refer to the game as) is a level based free falling game that is split up into Angry birds style levels, each with three stars that can be obtained. The entire game is based on a wonky gravity falling system that changes your orientation without any rhyme or reason. One moment you may be falling straight down, controlling your character with the accelerometer, only to have the orientation turn 90 degrees, forcing Alice to hit her head (hitting your head takes away one of your hearts) before you have time to turn your iPhone. Along the way, it is up to you to steer your character into the three stars in each level, as well as the many potions laying around that do all sorts of Alice in Wonderland type things.

For an accelerometer based game, Alice's Fall works smoothly, but the sudden changes in direction and the seemingly random bonks on the head by books and the like will quickly drive you nuts. Maybe I'm impatient, but after hearing the awful sound Alice makes when she gets hit (the voice acting for Alice definitely wasn't done by an innocent little girl) enough times, you'll just want to go play something with gratuitous explosions. The whole experience is fairly fun though, so if you really love accelerometer based gravity games, pick up Alice's Fall today.

Alice's Fabulous Fall To Wonderland

Accelerometer based gravity falling games can be fun, but Alice's Fabulous Fall To Wonderland will put you in the loony bin with its wonky gravity system.
