3D Coloring Book for Kids Review

“3D Coloring Book for Kids” is a coloring book for the iPad where the images can be rotated, looking as if they are popping off the page. My son enjoys this a lot, talking about how “spinny” his pictures are, really liking the 3D effect.

There are 5 pages to choose from, and the drawings are simple but nicely illustrated. You tap on a color, then a section of the object to be filled in. When done coloring in, your picture goes to the next page with a full color background and stickers to choose from. When finished, tap and the stickers have some minor yet fun movements.

There is relaxing music that accompanies this app and a chime that sounds every time a color or sticker is chosen, a nice touch. You can also save your finished work to look at later, but only within the app, not directly onto your device.

With only five pages, I do wish there were more drawing to choose from. I like that the images are simple and easy for little fingers to maneuver, but I wish some of the pages had more sections to fill in. Although I have heard no complaints, if I want this app to grow with my son, this coloring book would benefit from both more pages in general, as well as some more challenging illustrations to color.
