Christmas is a cherished holiday for all whovians as the Dr. Who Christmas Special is always a delight. Doctor Who: Legacy's holiday update is no different. Tiny Rebel Games, Seed Studio, and BBC Worldwide are celebrating the game's one-year anniversary with their second annual Advent Calendar promotion. Each day they will release free daily content with brand new levels, characters, and costumes.

Another exciting announcement is that Kylie Minogue as Astrid, and Frank Skinner as Perkins, alongside some extended universe characters, will be joining the fun.

Lee Cummings, Creative Director of Tiny Rebel Games said, “When we set out to make this game, we had a very clear, very personal vision of what a Doctor Who game should be and this is what we delivered at launch of the game, but what we didn’t expect is the amazingly supportive and engaged community of players that has emerged from it – the vision for the game has evolved to become what our players want a Doctor Who game to be and it continues to evolve and grow thanks to their enthusiasm and involvement. We consider ourselves the caretakers of the game.”

The Doctor is returning for season 8 this weekend, and Tiny Rebel Games has announced that their game, Doctor Who: Legacy, will be receiving a major update. Version 2.3 brings together different incarnations of The Doctor together to fight the insidious Master. Each week the game will receive new content that includes new enemies, allies, costumes, and set backgrounds. Fans will be excited to see the inclusion of some favorites such as the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison), Rose Tyler, and the Whomobile.

Tiny Rebel Games (with Seed Studio and the BBC) has just updated puzzle RPG Doctor Who: Legacy with new content and features.

Version 2.0 adds in content from Season 5 of the hit TV series, as well as a new mode, a Perk system, and new characters.

The Season 5 story arc, Rise of the Master, sees the most recent incarnation of the Master, as played by John Simm, continuing his chaos and destruction. It also introduces two older incarnations of the Master from classic Doctor Who, Roger Delgado (the First Master) and the burnt Master from The Deadly Assassin.

The Perk system unleashes an innovative system for customization, strategy and depth – players will unlock abilities as they collect and level up their collection of allies and as they progress through the game.

Four more incarnations of the Doctor join the game: the First Doctor (William Hartnell), the Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton), the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and the War Doctor (John Hurt), bringing us to a total of ten Doctors now available for free in the game with more on the way.
