To celebrate Independence Day as well as the launch of Desert Fox: The Battle of El Alamein, Shenandoah Studio's Battle of the Bulge and Drive on Moscow: War in the Snow are now on sale for the next week.

On sale initially at $2.99, in an interesting twist, the price will steadily increase as the week goes by. An extra $1 will be added to the price each day from July 5 - meaning you should get in quick for the maximum discount of 70% off, only for today and tomorrow.

We really enjoyed both historical strategy games, so you know what to do. The games are on sale until July 10 but I'd suggest deciding quickly for maximum benefit.

Shenandoah Studio has become one of the go-to developers for war games on iOS, with Battle of the Bulge and Drive on Moscow both being extremely well received so far. And now we've got Desert Fox: The Battle of El Alamein to look forward to.

Desert Fox takes the fight to the (mostly) desserts of North Africa, with players needing to guide their troops through fields of wire and mines while also deciding whether to go on the offensive or hang back and refit. Go offensive and you might get the drop on the opposing side, but a refit could allow you to bolster your numbers and take advantage of faction-specific perks.

Shenandoah Studio, responsible for Battle of the Bulge, has launched a new Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming title, Gettysburg: The Tide Turns. You'll be able to play as the Union or Confederates while dealing with the same deep and strategic gameplay you've come to know from its previous title. The Kickstarter campaign goes until August 6th, though things are looking good for the company as it already has over $6,000 dollars of the $20,000 needed.

A new scenario unfolds in the latest Battle of the Bulge update. The new scenario is based on historical situations and puts your skills to the test with unique setups. There are also two new computer opponents that have been added along with Game Center achievements for new scenarios and opponents.
