There are plenty of promo codes still to be given away including lots of educational and parent apps like Peekaboo Barn, Peekaboo Wild, Madera & Figaro in The Rescue of Ginger, Little Red, Mathemagics and many many more.

We're proud to announce the world's largest iPhone app promo code contest held to honor the nominees of the 2009 Best App Ever Awards!

In honor of the second annual Best App Ever Awards, nominees were invited to submit promo codes for their apps for a promo code contest. What we got back was absolutely staggering. We have thus far received 912 1092 promo codes for 100 121 different apps. That comes to a total retail value of almost $2500 $3045!

Our first website based contest has finally finished up and we had a pretty decent turn out too!

The Challenge
If we changed our name to 180apps.com, what would our new slogan be?

The iPhone App Developers have a particularly awesome tool at their disposal: Promo Codes. Not only do these promo codes allow sites like 148apps to review all the apps we do, but they're often used for contests as well. Primarily, we've been using Twitter as a way to give out promo codes for contests, but I'll be honest with you, the response isn't always that great. So in an attempt to include everyone who visits our site, we're going to be expanding our giveaways onto the blog.

In celebration of all of the nominated apps in the 2008 Best App Ever Awards, we'll be hosting a massive promo code giveaway starting Monday, 1/12. Thanks to the developers of the promoted applications, we have over 200 promo codes for 40 different apps to give away! We're going to give them all away next week. There are two way to sign yourself up for the giveaway:

1 - Follow us on Twitter (@148apps) - we'll randomly DM a promo code to some of our followers.

2 - Become a fan of our Facebook page. I'll randomly send messages to our Facebook fans with promo codes.

It's just that easy. The smart person would do both -- it doubles your chances.

In addition, we're going to give away a grand prize with the winner getting 20 promo codes.

In these tough economic times it's always good to get something free, right? We've been contacting some of our favorite app developers and convincing them to give us some of their promo codes so that we can give them to you! It's pretty easy, no need to register, no need to fill out a form, no need to post a comment, you just have to have mad copy-paste skills.
