If you've ever wanted to play something sort of like God of War on your iOS device, but also don't want to spend any money, then the current Godfire: Rise of Prometheus sale is for you.
Vivid Games, the developers behind Real Boxing, have announced that Godfire: Rise of Prometheus, its upcoming action-adventure mobile title, is set to release sometime this June. To celebrate this announcement, the developers have also released a gameplay trailer for the game.
The game will also be making an appearance on the show floor during E3 this year, with more trailers, screenshots, and details set to be announced before then.
Godfire: Rise of Prometheus is set to release for iOS sometime this June.
Godfire: Rise of Prometheus is one gorgeous-looking action/adventure game that’s just about ready to storm the App Store.
You’ll be guiding Prometheus through seven different acts and three possible difficulties, hacking up bad guys the whole way. He’ll also be collecting lots of gear, which is all upgradable and usually includes some sort of special ability such as causing poison damage. It’s not exactly a new idea, but I did think it as pretty cool how the armor sets will actually start to look different as you upgrade them.
I’m also curious to see how players take to the leaderboards. Normally I’m not much of a high score buff, but the leaderboards for Godfire are actually split across all versions of the game. So it’ll be interesting to see how the competition pans out - and will no doubt spark more physical vs. virtual control debates. To which I say “Bring it on!”
Godfire: Rise of Prometheus should be releasing on the App Store in the second Quarter of this year, and it’ll be a premium title.
Vivid Games has shown off Godfire: Rise of Prometheus for the first time. Built off of the combat in Real Boxing, players will enter into duels with groups of enemies, with dodging and blocking being the only movement in combat, with light and heavy attacks, along with special attacks that become available as the rage bar fills up. Plenty of large bosses inspired by Greek mythology will be available to fight throughout the game, which will be releasing in a few months.
Vivid Games, the team behind Real Boxing, has been hard at work for a while now on a new project. Godfire: Rise of Prometheus may not be on everyone's minds yet, but now that the first in-game trailer has been released that's bound to change.
While it may be pre-alpha footage, Godfire is already looking quite impressive. Which probably has something to do with Vivid Games teaming up with the Oscar-nominated animation studio, Platage Image (The Witcher).
The action-heavy adventure inspired by Greek mythology (and what looks to be a fair amount of infinity Blade) should be ready to rumble next year.
