Dig Dog Guide - Dig Deep to Discover Your Inner Dog

Posted by Campbell Bird on February 8th, 2018

Dig Dog is a platforming game that feels something like a cross between the arcade simplicity of Dig Dug and the ultra tough (but unwaveringly fair) Spelunky. Here’s a few tips to help you get better in your dogged pursuit of bones.

Go the distance

When you first start playing Dig Dog, I recommend just trying to get as far into the game’s Bone Hunt mode as possible. This is both because the Dig Dog’s other mode seems almost completely lacking in challenge and also because getting through levels in Bone Hunt can unlock new worlds that you can warp to immediately on new runs. If you clear enough levels to visit a new world a few times, you eventually get the power to warp straight there, which can cut out having to replay older and easier worlds.

Dig Dug 30th Anniversary Brings With It A Huge Namco Bandai Sale

Posted by Jennifer Allen on March 8th, 2012

Classic arcade game Dig Dug is 30 years old, so what better way to celebrate that than with a sale? That's exactly what Namco Bandai has decided to do, with a selection of their iOS titles on sale from now until March 12.

New and old alike feature in the sale with classic titles such as Pac-Man Remix and birthday boy Dig Dug Remix featuring alongside newer titles such as Time Crisis: 2nd Strike and Ace Combat Xi Skies of Incursion. Most games are reduced for between $1 and $2 but some substantial discounts are available with Ace Combat Xi Skies of Incursion, Ridge Racer Accelerated and Time Crisis: 2nd Strike all benefiting from discounts of over $4. It's an ideal time to go mad and buy plenty of retro delights.

Out of the extensive selection, I recommend Pac-Man: Championship Edition and Galaga Remix, in particular, but the full list is available below.
