Contra is getting its first official mobile release as CocoaChina/Chukong have announced that Contra Evolution will be launching next week, June 27th, on iOS devices. It has already released in China with the classic side-scroller taking the number one paid position in under 24 hours. Contra Evolution will release on the iPhone for $0.99 cents, while an HD version releases on the iPad for $2.99.
“We’ve worked with Konami to replicate the original Contra game as closely as possible, and are extremely happy with the result,” “Contra Evolution feels, sounds, and plays just like the original—Contra veterans and new players alike will not be disappointed.” said Haozhi Chen, CEO of CocoaChina/Chukong, in a press release.
