Gumi has recently updated their JRPG, Chain Chronicle. The update adds HD quality Retina visuals with an aspect ratio of 4:3 to fit the iPad and to give you crystal clear graphics.

You can also enjoy Chapter 9, which includes a new story. The Round-Table Conference is gathering representatives from all over Yggdra, and Phoena discovers a shocking secret about the Black King. Along with the new chapter you'll get new weapons such as the Skull Rod and Ideal Wand, and new Chain Story quests featuring Silver Wolf Guide Barienna and Thousand Rivers Warrior Jedah. There is also a new 5 star Flame Swordswoman named Sonya.

gumi Inc. has released chapters 7 and 8 for their line defense role-playing game Chain Chronicle. As Captain of your army, you can recruit 12 new characters in this expansion to help you fight off the ogre horde. You'll be making your way to the Imperial Tournament to impress Princess Tsuru and rescue Phoena from First Lord Shuza. The update also comes with a few bug fixes and new features including a return login bonus, booster items, and Facebook friends invite rewards.

gumi, makers of Brave Frontier and Bot Fight, have brought their popular Japanese game, Chain Chronicle, to the US, UK, Canada, and Australia for the first time.

You'll take on the role of a soldier in the fight for the world of Yggdra in this mix of tower defense and real-time strategy role playing. The game includes over 150 characters to recruit, each with their own  abilities. As you make friends with these characters you grow bonds that will unlock new stories and quests. The game also boasts some awesome anime voice actors such as AkiraA Ishida (Neon Genesis Evangelion and Mobile Suit GundamSEED), Maaya Uchida (Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live and Gatchaman Crowds), and Ayane Sakura (Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live and A Town Where You Live).
