Bloodmasque -ActionRPG- hit a new milestone by reaching half a million downloads. To celebrate, Square Enix has made the game available to download for free until midnight on December 16. Users can also enjoy the new special holiday edition of the Hunter's Gauntlet where players pursue Rudolf the Red and Holly Mistletoe.

Bloodmasque is now available for free until November 7 as Square Enix celebrates the release of the iPad Mini with Retina and iPad Air. It's also received a small update that adds a hunter's gauntlet feature and adjusted items available in the shop.

In our review, Rob Rich said with an angry face (picture below), "I’ve been enjoying BLOODMASQUE a lot more than I’d have expected, considering its close mechanical ties to another third-person combat game I’m quite fond of. It just kills me that I can only play it when I have a wifi/3G/4G connection. Still, when I can play it, it’s pretty great."

Bloodmasque, a new vampire-themed action RPG, was just announced by Square Enix and will be available this summer on iOS devices. Players will use their hunting skills to track down vampires and stop their rule of 19th century Paris. As shown in the trailer below, the game adds character customization that lets players take pictures of themselves to add to their character, giving their faces a natural fit on a vampire hunter. Bring it on, vampires!

While we didn't get a chance to sit down with anyone from Square Enix, we did get to see a couple of cool games coming to the iPad.

Deus Ex: The Fall, looks like a full-on console-like game set in the Cyberpunk Deus Ex universe, with some gorgeous visuals. Check it out:
