While the standalone performance of the Zone C410 is pretty awesome, the integration with iOS seems a bit of an afterthought. But the year long battery make some of the limitations easier to understand.

OK Go's Say the Same Thing Connects Friends Who Guess The Same Words

Posted by Andrew Stevens on May 9th, 2013
iPhone App - Designed for iPhone, compatible with iPad

There is a new type of word game available on the App Store where friends win together by guessing the same word. From the band OK Go, Say the Same Thing is a turn-by-turn game where you and a friend begin by selecting a random word. Once the words are in play, the two who are playing must find a common word that connects the two words together. You both win by saying the same connecting word in the same round.

The app was hand-coded and beta-tested by the band, which is pretty fantastic and unique. For a limited time, you have the opportunity to play live against members of the band by logging in to the app.

Know about the band Blur? They’re most famous in America for that one 2:02 song that goes “Woohoo!” and then has a bunch of otherwise indecipherable singing? It was all over rock radio in the 90’s and shows up in movie trailers to this day. Well, they’ve been producing music besides the aformentioned “Song 2” for almost a quarter-century now, and there’s a new app, appropriately titled The Blur App, to celebrate their lengthy career.

Check out an incredibly exhaustive discography in the Music section that shows off pretty much every single physical release of Blur music ever released. There’s links to buy tracks where available. A music player with samples of live and rare tracks is there too There’s videos featuring interviews and live concert footage from all throughout the band’s history. This is all available in a timeline format that features photos, clippings, and even notable setlists from live performances with anecdotes from the band.

Rock Band

Our rating: starstarstarstarblankstar :: GARY CHERONE-ESQUE
Rock Band on the iPhone is exactly what you'd expect it to be... pretty and polished but somewhat lacking in fun. There's only so much delight you can get out of a rhythm game on the iPhone.
