Gadgetarium, an Interactive Children’s Book About Technology, is Available Now
Gutenbergz Inc. wanted kids to learn more about technology, so they created Gadgetarium - an Interactive Children’s Book About Technology. The app was fully funded through a Kickstarter campaign in 2013 and has just been released for iOS.
Gadgetarium takes children, 6 years and older, through the history of technology; from the creation of the wheel to radios, microscopes, and more. The inventions can be viewed as 3D models that can be played with to learn more about them, and users are guided through their discoveries by a boy and his pet pug.
Gadgetarium also offers the ability to mix different gadgets to create new inventions to help foster curiosity and creativity. You can pick it up for $1.99 on the App Store.

SimplePlanes, from the Makers of SimpleRockets, is Now Available on the App Store
Do you have fond memories of playing SimpleRockets? Well, maybe "fond" is the wrong word. I mean those things are awfully prone to blowing up. But anyway, if you have a special place in your heart set aside for the madcap rocket-building sim, you should probably make room for the follow-up that just released on the App Store: SimplePlanes.
Much like SimpleRockets, SimplePlanes tasks you with engineering a very complex piece of machinery, then trying to keep it in one piece. This time you'll be snapping various parts together to make all sorts of aircraft - even some with VTOL (Vertical Take Off and Landing) abilities. Where it gets ridiculous (in a good way) is in how pieces of your craft can break off as you crash into things or get shot at, which can have a pretty big impact on performance.
If you're in the mood to fly seemingly impossible aircraft that you've cobbled together yourself, you can grab SimplePlanes off the App Store now for $1.99.
Threes! is Currently on Sale in Honor of Being Named the App Store's Game of the Year
We've reached that time of the year where every man, woman, and corporate entity decides on their favorite games of the previous twelve months. Apple is no exception to this, and this week they named Threes from Sirvo LLC as their iPhone game of the year. To celebrate this honor, the developer has announced that the game is now on sale, with the price having had a very appropriate 33.3 recurring % sliced off.
In other words, Threes is available now for $1.99, down from its usual price of $2.99.
