Simple yet functional, Remind.Me isn't going to revolutionize how anyone arranges their life but it is a reasonable and free solution to a common problem: keeping track of birthdays and things that need doing.
Remind.Me's main screen is split into two sections for each day of the week. The top half forms the user's to-do list, enabling them to add notes or reminders as and when they think of them. Simply done, it's easy to either just add some information or set a time that one needs reminding on. A mixture of alerts are available, so it's pretty hard to miss.
When it's time to wish someone Happy Birthday, it's easy enough to either post a message to their wall or send them a SMS message thanks to the app linking into the user's contacts list. A swipe across the screen also displays all birthdays coming up, helping out those planning ahead.
Everything about Remind.Me is quite simple to do, but that does mean it lacks any exciting moments of inspiration. It's comfortably reasonable without ever really doing much to be less or more than that. The adverts that clutter the bottom of the screen are a bit annoying, but other than that Remind.Me fails to incite strong feelings in any direction.
