Although not as popular as other sites with a similar function, Quora is without a doubt a force to be reckoned with - with over 500,000 registered users asking and answering thought provoking questions on a daily basis.

The concept of Quora is simple, users ask the community questions - and the community will then answer those questions to the best of their ability. But the questions asked on Quora are far from the run-of-the-mill "What's your favourite cereal questions" that populate other Q&A sites. Instead, questions and answers offered on Quora are either incredibly informative or thought provoking - and sometimes even both!

For such a goldmine of information, Quora is incredibly easy to navigate on a phone. Users can easily hop from question to question and add their own answers and opinions to the questions of other users. The app is also very easy to get the hang of thanks to the great tutorial it offers when a user first signs up, allowing them to follow the topics that interest them most within a few taps.

Unfortunately, if a potential user of the app wishes to give the app a trial run without providing details to Quora, they will quickly find that this is not possible. It's a shame that unlike on the website, Quora doesn't allow would-be users to sample one answer from a question in order to test the waters of the service.

As with Reddit, users can have a say in how the responses to a question are ranked. They can do this by either voting the post up or down, using the arrows to the right of it. Although Quora might be dispelled as a niche app by some, I firmly believe that the absolutely massive amount of topics and helpful answers on the site should appeal to people from most walks of life.

Overall, Quora is definitely an app that the curious should keep on their phone in order to feed their thirst for knowledge. With it's easy to use interface, vast range of categories and incredibly helpful community - Quora should definitely impress the majority of those who cross paths with it!
