Organizing your life is often a constant plan for many of us. There’s a plethora of apps keen to make that a reality and MeisterTask is one of the latest entries. It involves a few more steps than most to set up, but it’s going to be pretty handy for households trying to co-ordinate efforts equally amongst people.

After a brief set up process, you’re presented with a notifications screen which brings with it plenty of ways to add new tasks. The key to MeisterTask is that you can divide things up according to categories. It takes a couple of taps for you to create a category for household chores for instance, separating it from work or other things that need doing. A series of icons means it’s not quite as immediately intuitive as some apps, but you’ll soon come around to its way of doing things.

In each case, you can simply add a task or you can add further detail. This detail encompasses things like deadlines, notes, and tagging, for the sake of easier searching, which is particularly useful once you’ve completed many tasks. Most importantly, you can assign the task to someone, helping everyone in a household work together in knowing what needs doing. As you complete tasks, you and other users can consult what’s been completed in recent times, thereby keeping a running tally of what’s going on.

That immediately make MeisterTask a pretty useful tool for households trying to get more organized, whether that happens to be a family or a bunch of roommates. There’s always evidence of what has been done, and what needs doing next. Working across iPhones, iPads, and the Apple Watch means you should never forget to keep it updated either. It could save you from plenty of arguments over who did what chore.
