It turns out that foxes love to jump in boats, sail off, and go fishing. At least that’s what Kapu Fishing tells us, and it proves to be an adorable and simple game that should captivate your little ones for a while. With controls that are ideally suited for toddlers, it won’t take long for them to figure things out and have fun.
As the app explains through some simple gestures, casting a line is a simple matter of dragging your finger across the screen. How far the line goes depends on how far you drag your finger. It’s the kind of intuitive thinking that’ll be ideal for educating your kids through. Once the lure hits the water, gentle taps cause it to come nearer to you.
Unlike conventional fishing, you can attract as many fish as you like. It’s possible to catch numerous fish in one lure, and it’s kind of satisfying to do exactly that. Each fish is attractively colored, as well as available in different sizes. You can throw them back in the water too, so nothing bad happens to them. I did wish there was a way of accruing a collection though, perhaps a way of browsing through what’s been caught in the past.
You can move your boat along, through the motor, and it’s quite fun to take in different forms of scenery with some cool things going on around you. Also, you can build your own lures from various quirky pieces, including eye patches and silly hats. It’s fun to see how this changes things around.
Simple yet likeable, Kapu Fishing has a few useful educational roles, but mostly it’s just good fun. Your children are sure to enjoy the freedom and creativity they’re allowed, as well as the more colorful than life nature of the graphics.
