Whether users are looking for a flashlight, lottery picker, heat vision, photo filter or a fun retro game like Snake, AppZilla has got them covered with their huge library of apps and games that are rolled into one application. AppZilla 3: 150 in 1! is obviously the third installment in the series. Loaded with more than before, it promises users 40 all-new apps and games.

Not only does AppZilla 3 come with new apps, it also includes new features such as dot-lock protection to make some apps private, a category view to find apps and games easier, live wallpaper to customize the AppZilla 3 background and an auto-launch app system.

Those not familiar with the AppZilla series will be pleasantly surprised by the interface. The app is designed to look similar to the home screen, but it comes with a few customization options. All the apps are listed in alphabetical order, but users are free to reorder them. It’s also possible to add apps to favorites, hide them from view and add a live wallpaper to make the background look more appealing.

As users scroll through the pages of apps, they’ll notice that the newest additions are marked with a yellow “new” caption. These apps include all new games that now come with Game Center integration such as Solitaire, Blackjack,War and Video Poker along with some useful apps like a salary calculator, contact fix, censor cam and speed test.

Although most users are getting a lot of bang for their buck, users who own the two previous versions of this app may be disappointed that this wasn’t offered as an update. It is evident that there are new features in addition to the 40 new apps, but it’s hard to justify shelling out another $0.99 if these apps and features aren’t going to be utilized.

Another downfall that should be considered is whether or not a large majority of these apps are worthwhile. Along with the helpful applications like a dictionary, loan calculator and bubble level, there are also many apps that are solely for entertainment only purposes like the concert lighter, scrolling LED banner and big button. Some would consider these apps to be pointless, while others may appreciate them.

AppZilla 3: 150 in 1! is easily recommendable to anyone who’s never checked out the previous versions and to users who are new to iOS and wish to expand their app library. Getting all these apps and features for less than one dollar is a real steal, but those who can live without most of the new apps and features may want to consider purchasing the third installment. Regardless of personal preference, it’s definitely one of the better utility apps available.
