NimbleBit released Bit City just yesterday, a voxellized clicker game disguised as a city builder. The game is filled to the brim with cute little buildings to collect in its bright and cheerful world, but perhaps you want to see what else is out there. There are quite a few fine city builders out on mobile if you want to explore. Here are five of the best.

Tiny Tower: Pixel Life Builder

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2011-06-23 :: Category: Game

FREE!

Another NimbleBit number that zooms in on the scale. Instead of an entire city, you're focusing on one singular skyscraper. You build up, and up, and up creating retail, restaurant, apartment, and recreation spaces for the tower's residents. There's lots of character management as you have to assign residents to jobs within the buildings if you want to prosper.

rymdkapsel

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2013-08-01 :: Category: Game

$3.99

So, technically you're building a space station in Rymdkapsel, but details, schmetails. This pretty practice in minimalism sees you building up your floating space city, managing your crew, and protecting all that you build from invading alien hordes.

Dungeon Village

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad
Released: 2012-06-04 :: Category: Game

$5.99

A city sim with a pinch of JRPG flavor thrown in. As the mayor of your own fantasy town, you build up appealing accommodations with the goal of luring brave adventures into your domain, who will slay the monsters encroaching on your borders in exchange for lodgings and food.

1849

iPad App - Designed for iPad
Released: 2014-05-07 :: Category: Game

$4.99

1849 is a fun little management sim set during the Yukon gold rush. You'll manage a bustling, 19th century town while maintaining trade routes and other daily chores. It's a great choice for the micro-managers out there.

Theseunique city builders will have you begging for just one more turn as you carefully manage your resources to build up a bustling urban center. Choose your preferred setting and have at it -- you have a lot of building to do!
