Slothwerks has a new game coming closer to the end of the year in the form of Meteorfall, a pretty neat looking deck-building cum roguelike fantasy RPG. The game, which also features a nice Adventure Time-esque art style, was inspired by Peter Whalen's Dream Quest, and sees players traveling around the world to collect cards and battle monsters.

To start, players choose a character (each has their own unique deck) and set out into the world, exploring temples, dungeons, villages, and more to customize their deck further. You'll earn more as you win battles, too. The goal is to create a collection of cards that work in near perfect harmony.

Each turn, the player is able to draw a number of cards equal to their speed stat. Once drawn, you can choose to swipe left to discard the card and recover stamina, or swipe right to use the card's ability. With your limited actions, you'll have to walk a fine line between building stamina and waiting for the right card to come along, and taking direct, offensive action. You can read up on more of the details over on the Meteorfall blog.

Meteorfall is expected to launch sometime in Q4 2017, though nothing is set in stone just yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
