The App Store is almost intimidatingly full of content and each week even more new games are released. Apple does attempt to curate this list into the Best New Games section, but it’s not really enough.
This week, we’ve narrowed down those games to a mere six that are the most interesting.
The Walking Dead: Michonne, as the name suggests, is all aboutMichonne and has the usual mix of multi-choice dialogue and tough decision-making.
It’s not quite as imaginative as the original The Walking Dead games, but it’ll certainly scratch that itch.
Love You to Bits is an incredibly captivating and charming puzzle adventure.
Ok, so it's about a young explorer trying to piece his robotic girlfriend back together, but it’s sweeter than it sounds - honest.
A much more frivolous experience is PAC-Man Puzzle Tour because we all need another match three puzzler, right?
Ok, so it all seems like a bit of a cynical use of everyone’s favourite yellow thing, and that’s because it is. But, if you like your match three games to be formulaic, this should do the job just right.
From the makers of Timberman-a game that makes me swear in frustration - comes another infuriating one tap game.
Fly O’Clock has you repeatedly jumping on a clock face to survive. It’s not particularly clever, but it’ll certainly distract you for five minutes.
I don’t know from experience, but I’ve heard that not having working brakes in your car is a bit of a problem.
Faily Brakes highlights that with a quirky endless race down a mountainside. It’s another one that won’t stick in your mind but hey, it's fun in a hectic kind of way.
For the player who wants something a little more thoughtful, Blackbox is a puzzle game that’s dependent on recognising visual cues, rather than your ability to swipe or tap.
Thinking outside the box is key so expect to scratch your head a lot.
