Another week passes, and there’s another selection of Best New Games on the App Store. We’ve summed up six of the best, so you don’t have to worry about wading through the nonsense.
You’re going to hear this name a lot. From the makers of Clash of Clans, Clash Royale is sure to be the next big thing. Real-time multiplayer combat mixed in with a card collecting system is a potent mix. Guess what? It’s dangerously addictive fun.
As cliched as it may sound, Into Light is a magical journey. With a mixture of gate-based and word-based puzzles, it’s quite the delight, within a fairly dark tale of escaping a war zone. Ideal if you want something with a bit of depth.
Road to be King is a cute, one-touch game that has you dodging creatures and traps. Ok, so it’s not the deepest of experiences, and you might not remember it 6 months down the line, but it’s fun while you’re playing it.
Bit stressed? Brick Rage will suit you then. It’s not the brightest of games, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s just there for you to smash blocks together, partly for stress relief, and partly to enjoy surviving that wall that’s out to crush you. A little mindless, but fun.
Save the Park is a game developed between American Express and the US National Park Foundation. It’s an Endless Runner with a difference, having you control two characters at once. OK, so it’s not as exciting as it could have been, but simply downloading it means American Express makes $1 donation to the National Park Foundation.
Push the Arrow requires you to do exactly what it suggests, having you pushing an arrow around the screen with your finger. The objective is to dodge obstacles, and what it lacks in imagination, it oddly makes up with the ‘just one more go’ factor.
