Reigns: Her Majesty is storming the App Store this week, bringing more tinder-esque kingdom building to eager players everywhere. If you've played the original Reigns, you'll know that leading a kingdom is never easy. It's a careful balancing act keeping the church, army, and commoners happy.

More often than not, you'll succumb to some terrible end. We're here to prevent that. Use these tips to grow in power without giving in to all of the powers itching for their spot on the throne.

You can't please everyone

It's foolhardy to spoil one faction and neglect all of the others -- that's just asking to be assassinated. However, you also can't please everyone. At some point, you're going to upset someone, and just like in real life, that's perfectly okay. Try to keep a balance among the factions. Although it doesn't have to be perfect, know that it's okay to say yes sometimes and no to other requests. Just don't dabble in extremes if you can help it.

Complete challenges to progress

Progress in Her Majesty plays out over several generations of queens. To really make a difference in the game, you'll need to complete the challenges assigned to you. Completing these quests will give you new cards that you'll need to move forward later on.

Listen for hints from characters

Pay careful attention to what the characters in the game are telling you. They could have helpful tips for story beats that will be coming up sometime in the future, possibly even after your current reign has ended. Some will clue you in on items you can use to convince them to help you out, which could actually save your life.
