Pokemon GO: Niantic admits that Raids in Mega Latios and Latias have issues
It looks like a lot of players have come across a glitch with Latios and Latias in a battle of Mega Raids in Pokemon GO. And now, Niantic has confirmed that the Raids have issues and they are working on it.
Players successfully defeated the Pokemon. But even after that, the countdown timer kept ticking. Due to this, the players simply couldn’t catch the Pokemon. Of course, this glitch made the Raids a huge disappointment.
Niantic tweeted:
“We are aware of and investigating the issue where after defeating Mega Latios or Mega Latias in a battle, the countdown timer continues to run and the raid is failed.”
After several players reported the same issue, Niantic confirmed it, and admitted that it was a huge one. Players are hoping that the glitch will be resolved soon as the event concludes on May 8th.
Mega Latias and Mega Latios were initially introduced in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The games were released on Nintendo 3DS back in 2014. Mega Evolution was rolled out in 2020 but, it received a major makeover last week.
Previously, players had to use Mega energy every time they wanted to evolve Latios and Latias. However, players now only need one Mega energy for the evolution. They will Mega Evolve for free after the cool-down.
The event went live today and a lot of players have already joined this action-packed event and the countdown glitch somewhat dampened the spirits.
