Peter Panic guide - How to play for free

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Peter Panic is a WarioWare-inspired mini-game collection set against a musical backdrop with a a pretty interesting free to play model.

Turns out, you can play all you want for free, but you can't save unless you pay for that ability via a $2.99 in app purchase.

Because of this model and the relatively small size of each mini-game, we decided to draw up a freeloader's guide forPeter Panic.

You have to keep playing

If you think you're tricky enough to have Peter Panic "save" your progress without paying by keeping the app active in the background, you're wrong. After some testing, it appears that suspending the game for too long will result in it resetting progress within a half hour of inactivity or so.

The only way to keep progressing through Peter Panic as a free player is to keep playing it in a continuous session.

Use the fast forward and skip buttons to your advantage

If you do have to restart all over, make sure you use Peter Panic's fast forward and skip buttons to get through those cutscenes and save some time.

Even though the game features a lot of musical numbers and voice acting, as a freeloader, you'll want to skip any repeated material in favour of pushing forward.

Enjoy the developer cutscenes

Occasionally, when you complete a level ofPeter Panic, a cutscene will pop up featuring pixelised versions of the game creators who encourage you to buy the ability to save.

These scenes would be annoying if they weren't so entertaining. Just for these, you might want to hold off on immediately purchasing the ability to save, even if you are completely sold on Peter Panic from the outset.

So, is it pay to win?

Unless you can do all of the above in this guide, I'm not sure you can see allPeter Panic has to offer without paying.

It doesn't seem like a terribly long game, but its mini-games could test your patience. It certainly seems possible to beat the game without unlocking the ability to save, but that probably isn't the best way to experience this title.
