MU Origin’s 13.0 content update has just dropped on iOS and Android, and it’s packed to the rafters with new features, including PvP events, guild contests and new power-ups.
Among the headline inclusions is The Genesis War, a solo Reverse PvP event that takes place in real-time. This game mode sees 220 players go head-to-head anonymously across five floors with the aim of racking up the highest kill count.
The event takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8pm and 8:20pm (server time) and is open to players who have reached Reverse level 30. All contestants will receive the Light of Ares buff for taking part, in addition to event rewards for the best performers.
Alongside The Genesis War, the update also includes the guild event Ruins Assault. This is a gauntlet run across five floors that pits teams against boss monsters. The group which inflicts the most damage on each boss monster will earn battlefield rewards.
Ruins Assault takes place between 9:20pm and 10:10pm every Friday, with the first floor opening up between 9:20pm and 9:25pm (server time). It is open to players who have reached Guild level three and at least Reverse level one. The upper floors have higher level requirements.
The third updated game mode is Dark Cave, a base-capturing contest that pits clans against clans across a two-week season. Clans will fight it out for control of three Lightposts dotted across each map and will earn buffs when they capture them. When all three have been captured by the same group, the match comes to an end.
It will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays between 9:30pm and 10:00pm (server time) and is open to groups headed up by a clan master with Rebirth 5, level one, as long as at least three of their members are online.
MU Origin’s 13.0 update also introduces new special items to the game, including the Hero Rune and Mount Seal, and has shaken things up by increasing maximum character levels to Rebirth 19, level 100 and adding extra grades to Arena and Achievements. All of this is in addition to the usual bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements.
