Innovative match-3 puzzler Ingot Rush has landed on the App Store

Match-3 games are pretty darn popular on mobile, and with so many innovative takes on the core concept, it’s easy to see why. Today we present you Ingot Rush for iOS, a colourful, globetrotting adventure that brings plenty of its own fresh ideas to the table.

The basic gameplay borrows a similar formular found in the retro arcade title Klax, having you spot and sort special ingots as they approach on a conveyor belt and eventually fall toward you. If you want to do well and achieve some impressive scores, you should always be aiming to match at least 3 – either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

Things might start out easy enough, but don’t let those opening stages lull you into a false sense of security. As things start speeding up, and new rules are introduced, you might just find yourself in a spot of bother.

Thankfully, the mounting challenge is balanced out by the addition of special gold bars, such as TNT ingots and thunder ingots. These can be used to boost your score, clear the board, and – hopefully – win the day. On top of that, there’s the option to visit the in-game store to upgrade any magical ingots in your possession.

The levels themselves are all themed, with some being set in locations such as London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, and New York. This means that the vibrant visuals remain interesting throughout the game’s satisfying, lengthy runtime.
