How to unlock more characters in Disney Emoji Blitz

One of the big charms of Disney Emoji Blitz is seeing a wide variety of beloved Disney and Pixar characters transformed into smiling emojis. Even someone like the sneaky Randall from Monsters Inc., who probably never cracked a smile on film, is happy as can be until your time is running out.

But while seeing them on the playing field is one thing, the real draw is using your favorite as the avatar representing you. When you first start playing Disney Emoji Blitz, you'll have just a single Disney character at your disposal. Playing through all of the tutorials will grant you a second.

How can you unlock more of them? That's the question we're here to answer for you.

Coins are the key

The coins that you earn during play are the primary tool at your disposal to unlock more emojis. You'll need a lot of them though, so be prepared to play for quite bit before you have enough to make a purchase.

To spend them, simply tap the 'More Emoji' button on the bottom of the main game screen. That will take you to your current Emoji Collection, and from there you can tap the 'Emoji Shop' icon (with the shopping cart) to get some more.

Your choices from there are the Silver Box for 15,000 coins or the Gold Box for 30,000 coins. Both offer their own selections of characters, with Silver emojis able to be leveled up to Power Level 3 while their Gold counterparts can reach Power Level 5.

How to get more coins

Along with earning coins through regular gameplay, you can earn more a couple of different ways:

• The Free Prize box - Available in the Emoji Shop, this will give you free coins every eight hours.
• Collecting items - Items are special symbols that show up on the playing field and can be collected if you work them all the way to the bottom of the board. Some complete item collections can be turned in for coins, while others grant gems, power-ups, or a Blitz bonus.
