My Majesty is a kingdom management sim not unlike August’s magisterial hit, Reigns. It’s essentially a reskin of developer Tigrido’s previous management sim, Dictator. As supreme ruler of the land, you must consult with a number of subjects to keep everyone happy and at peace.

Managing a court with conflicting interests is never easy, though, and rebellions will arise. You’ll need to quash these uprisings as they spring up while making sure you have plenty of money to continue your reign.

Don’t burn bridges
Don’t let your relationships at court sour. You’ll be subject to conspiracies or worse. If your ties to your courtiers drops to three crosses or lower, you’re at risk of getting a talking to at the very least, and an appointment with the chopping block at worst. If things do go wrong, try your best to dig yourself out straight away.

You can’t please everyone
It’s impossible to make everyone happy. Take your existing relationships into account when making decisions, and try to stay away from choices that would send particular groups into rebellion. At the same time, you also need to keep your finances in mind. Don’t choose something that would plunge the kingdom into bankruptcy. Draining all of the coin from your coffers is a sure way to get swiftly booted off of the throne.

Use your spells wisely
As king or queen, you’re in cahoots with famed wizard Merlin, who grants you a limited number of free spells that will ensure any choice you make is viewed positively by all of your subjects. Once you use them up you’ll have to buy more, so save them for emergencies. They’re great if you need to build your reputation back up after a war or plague.

The survival of your medieval kingdom hinges on the choices, so approach every situation with care. Keep the above advice in mind and you’ll be leading for years to come.
