How to get all the crabs in Mr Crab 2

Mr. Crab 2 may look like a cutesy platformer for kids, but if you're the kind of person who likes to complete a game 100%, you'll soon realise that it's a tougher than a crustacean's shell.

Read the following tips though, and you'll be well on your way to busting all the little crab's friends out of their cages and owning enough tiny bowler hats to open a hat shop.

Don't be afraid

The absolute worst that can happen to you in Mr. Crab 2 is that you'll drop your trail of crabs if you run into an enemy. Death is not an option.

So don't worry about it if the path you've chosen looks to be leading you to your death. Just accept your fate. You'll respawn instantly and without many (if any) negative repercussions.

Go off the beaten track

Games will usually ask you to just follow the dotted line and reward you for it. Mr. Crab 2 doesn't do that.

Instead, the first thing you want to do when you see an arrow or path of stars to collect is to ignore it and go in the opposite direction.

Jump over obstacles, drop down gaps, and go back on yourself when possible. You'll probably bump into a caged crab by accident on your travels.

Retry and redo

As well as having no punishment for death, the game doesn't punish you for restarting every time you make a small mistake.

Missed a captured crab or just not picked up enough stars? Hit pause, restart, and go grab it. No fuss at all.

You may also want to re-do levels once you've beaten them to grab as many stars as possible, as you'll need them to unlock new levels after you've cleared the first twelve.
